However, rather than allow the tragic death of Master Kayikunmi hold him a prisoner or morn forever, Dr. Kayode Ajulo decided to use the situation to propagate safety for children by urging the appropriate authority to embark on a campaign that will sensitise the public of child safety in the vehicle and enforce provision of the law stating full usage of all seatbelt and child safety seat.
Dr. Ajulo who was among prominent Nigerians whose trade and passion caught the attention of the management of the Federal Road Safety Corps who inaugurated a new set of celebrity special marshals in Lagos, has floated Master Kayikunmi Kayode-Ajulo Memorial Foundation, a non-governmental organisation aimed at promoting child safety.
It is on that note that Dr. Ajulo is urging groups and well-meaning individuals to lend their support to the initiative by buying child car seats for charity and more importantly spread the news of the importance of child seats and seat belts.
Stressing that Non –Governmental Organization should be passion driven and not financial or other gains induced, Ajulo noted that Mater Kayikunmi Kayode-Ajulo Memorial Foundation, will be run solely by the fund in the account of the departed boy which was meant for his education and welfare before death came calling and his personal resources without any recourse to donations and grants.
