Tinubu was Chicago University’s overall best graduating student of Accounting, says Tunji Abayomi
Abayomi said Tinubu finished at the top of his class with flying colours from the Chicago State University
Human Rights Activist and Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council for Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Dr Tunji Abayomi, has said that the Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu graduated from the University of Chicago, the United States of America with flying colours.
Abayomi in a statement on his Facebook page noted that Bola Tinubu was the Overall Best Graduating Student, in Business Administration (Accounting and Management) at Chicago State University, Illinois, Chicago, United States of America.
“Let me say here that in his working career, he has served as an Accountant in various Companies including Arthur Andersen, Haskins and Sells, Deloitte and Douche, GTE Service Corporation, America’s largest communication and utility company and Auditor and later Treasurer at Mobil Oil Producing Unlimited.
“He (Tinubu) was once a Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a NADECO chieftain and major financier alongside Pa Alfred Rewane and Governor, Lagos state.”
Digging deep further into his profile, Abayomi said Bola Tinubu is the Founder of the defunct ACN and one of the founding fathers of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
“Tinubu is also the National Leader of All Progressives Congress and now the APC Presidential Flagbearer and by God’s grace the Next coming Nigeria President,” he added.
Abayomi had earlier said there is something to learn from Tinubu’s incredible life as he journeys to become the President of Nigeria.
His words: “Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s life journey so far should inspire all our children that the challenges of life should not diminish or defeat hope in them. That necessity should bring out in them, not defeat, pessimism or lamentation.
“The children of the poor can learn that they can succeed and triumph like Bola Ahmed Tinubu through determination and stubborn effort.
“His early life does not link him to Civil Service Parents, or Railway Executives or workers, or those who were fortunate to be employed by early European Companies. Not to Kings or community notables, not even to major farmers or merchants. Not to missionary schools or even the fortune of hope or possibility. Today he stands at the precipe of history as the elected competitor for the highest office in our nation. An otherwise unknown child has become the wind of the tide.”
