Former South West Women Leader of the All Progressivss Congress(APC) Olukemi Nelson died on Sunday at 66.
Prior to her death, she served as executive director of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSTIF) in President Muhammadu Buhari’s first tenure

1. Olukemi Nelson was born 9th of February 1956.
2. she’s an alumni of school of Nursing in the University College Hospital Ibadan where she qualified as a registered Nurse and Midwife.
3. She obtained an MBA in Financial Management.
4. She has a Diploma in Law from the Lagos State University Ojo .
5. She was the Zonal APC woman leader.
6. She was the senatorial candidate for the Lagos West Senatorial district in 1992 and was defeated at the polls by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
7. She was married to Adeyemi Nelson and had three children together.
8. From 1999-2003, she served as the Lagos Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation under Tinubu
9. Nelson was the only female serving member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC).
