Dangote Refinery Petrol: Marketers give update on price per liter

The chairman, Plateau State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Rufus Bature, has declared that the party has designed a comprehensive strategy that will mobilise the citizens of the state for the election of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima in the coming 2023 polls.

Hon Bature said Plateau will be disobedient to the old order, whereby a party has consistently won the presidential election in the state since 1999, adding that this time around the Labour Party should be ready for a surprise in the forthcoming election on the Plateau.

Speaking with reporters, Bature said the goal of the party is to embark on an aggressive mobilisation, which will start from polling booth to polling booth as well as support groups, ostensibly to gain the confidence of the people to vote for the APC.

According to him, “The youths comprise over sixty percent of the state and with this, we are confident that through the mobilisation drive by the party, Tinubu/Shettima will surely win Plateau State in 2023.

He said: “This time around the people of Plateau State will reject the old order of voting regarding presidential elections. If you were here in 2015, and from what people were saying, they would not have given Buhari even ten percent, but we were able to muscle up to forty five percent.

” So I believe we have a better chance of making fifty percent or above in the presidential election because we are working day and night to make people understand that it is not the issue of religion but the issue of who would bring food to your table, who would protect you security-wise.

Bature also acknowledged that Governor Simon Lalong, accepting to be the DG of Tinubu/Shettima campaign, would further help the party’s course in the state.

Bature condemned the idea that certain classes of politicians are of the old order and therefore not fit to govern the country, adding that all those in the presidential race presently are of the old order.

” Was Peter Obi not part of the old order? Was he not governor in that old order? So, what are they talking about? We will be very disobedient here on the Plateau,” he said. (The Nation)
